Home Separation By Evaporation

An evaporator is a device that is able to remove vapor from a boiling liquid and obtain a more concentrated solution. The separation process is called evaporation, which in most cases refers to the partial removal of water from an aqueous solution. There are various types of evaporators for treating different liquids. Steam is often used to provide heat to the system. Multiple-effect evaporators can be adopted to increase the steam economy. Typical evaporation processes include concentrating solutions of sugar, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, glycerol, milk, and orange juice.
